Barely hanging onto the hobby

Sorry to hear that you're leaving the hobby. There's an old saying that goes a little like this.
"We don't stop playing with trains because we grow old, we grow old because we stop playing with trains"
Mike

Trainz is a new level for railway modelling

Like you, I've been a keen railway modeller for over 20 years. Two years ago, I sold my extensive layout, and upgraded from TRS 2004 through TS2009. No more crawling under baseboards, cleaning, repairs and general maintenance. Trainz is wonderful - and cheap! And when you move house, no problem.

Thats rather sad gp792. I do not remember reading about your Grandfather's death and I am sorry to hear that.

To see another member of this "family" leave for "good" is not the best either. Maybe a change will help you sort things out over your Grandfather's death and over other hurdles life may throw at you.

If you want, why not just drop in from time to time, catching up with old friends is always good.

Take Care,

Craig

Memories

Hi,
I know that things seem dark right now,but You'll be OK.Consider honoring your Grandfathers memory in your continued love of Trains (and Trainz)! That way when ever you see a train or think of one,you will remember good times with Gramps. Trains and good memories of your Grandfather will always be synonymous with each other. Just a thought. Randy

Sorry to hear of your loss.

my interest in model trains has been dwindling
It has only been ten days. Being that it was a hobby shared it is likely to be a 'sore point' at the moment. Any decisions made are likely to be of clouded judgment. Grieving takes time.

Regards,
