Hello again all, just when you thought things couldn't get any worse, Matt returns!

It's been over a year since I have been here, mainly due to school work and several computer crashes, but I have been trying to improve my layout making. Which is mainly why I am here! Bellow are a few screenies from a short terminus to fiddle yard layout I have been working on and I'd like o know your thoughts about how it looks and any tips on improving (n.b I'm STILL on 04 ;))

Feedback is most welcome, the links will show the pics as I seem to be unable to get the pictures onto the forums properly!

Thanks

Hi CoolMatty,

Well if you want some constructive criticisim, Too many white spline points, fix the height of your rail splines other splines don't matter so much. Also where your river goes off the edge of the board raise a thin strip of land right at the edge of the board under the water to about 0.2 below the water height, it will look much better that way.

Cheers,

I only looked at one pic (have to reserve bandwidth) but I don't think any prototype railway would have an "S" bend in a tunnel like yours. (Train crossing bridge after leaving tunnel.) Other than that the pic looked okay.

Now that you mention it, it doesn't look at all prototypical, I'll have to sort that out a bit. Looking at the map, the S ben that is apparant in the pic is out of the tunnel but it's there because of a slight S bend in the tunnel itself!

Thanks Johnk

Matt
