Bachmann's E-Z Track or Kato's Uni-Track?

I personally like Kato's Uni-Track but its a bit expensive, and Bachmann's E-Z Track is good for a quick big setup, sooo...I'm not sure what to get, I have $130 and I was thinking E-Z Track since I can get more for my money. What do you prefer?

I like the kato track because it looks real, snaps together, and has working signals, but I use Atlas track. It's cheap, can be used with other company's track, and objects. You might have to buy roadbed to go with it though.

E-Z track is better, and when you get enough money its very simple to hide. For example I put all bushes, some grass etc on the sides of the track. But thats just me.

Definitely go with the Kato Uni-Track.
Hands down it’s the best road-bed track one can buy.
  • It’s realistic, the roadbed actually feels like gravel
  • The reliability, unlike most other pre-applied roadbed track Uni-Track doesn’t break the connecting tabs as easily.
  • Should you ever decide to lay it permanently, Kato sells gravel that blends in perfectly with their track to hid the plastic edge.
It may cost a bit more, but the Kato track is well worth it if you want to use the pre-applied roadbed stuff.

I was at the hobby store, just browsing, and I took a look at it...once switch is $20!!! but its ok I will get what I can while I can.

hey take it from the guy who works at a shop. go e-z track. better durability and more readily availible than kato. kato has the detail, but it gets very fragile over time, i get alot of customers coming in complaining about track breaking, i recomend bachmann every time.

Much agreed me and my friend are setting up a 14 by 28 foot layout on the ground he has at least $500 worth of track. It's all E-Z track and it works butilfuly. (Sorry for bad spelling) Go E-Z track all the way!

mp5a4, I went with true-track, Its awesome $1.35 a section of any kind (besides switches) and I can get way more for my money. :D

Next week I will be able to get $100 more worth of track, I will probably get some bridges...and crossings...or a steam loco :)
