Hi,
I came across a copy of Trainz 2009 the other day, but was confused in that it did not have the Auran logo.
Is this a copy or did Auran lease it out or get bought out?
Is it compatible with Trainz 2006?

Does the box say N3V ... My TRS2006 said Merscom ... If it was a sealed box, more than likely it was legitimate.

Where did you buy it? Keep in mind if it's from a street market it's very likely it's a pirated copy. Easiest way to confirm whether it's official or not is to register your serial number and see.

Newer versions of Trainz (2009+) may have the N3V Games logo instead of the Auran one.

This is because N3V is the company now, after they bought out Auran (if memory serves correctly).

Shane, Thank you the box said N3V and not Auran so I gave it a miss, but it looks like it might be worth a look as it was under a fiver!

If you can get a screenshot of the cover, someone here (possibly me) will know whether it's genuine or not.

TS2009 can be found fairly cheaply nowadays.
