Hi
Can anyone tell me how to remove shining effect from ATSF Passenger Coaches??
SANTA FE Coaches look like shiny white boxes when viewed from certain position..Is there any possible way to remove shining effect ??

There is a couple different ways modelers make their objects shiny; I can't be certain which method was used in this case (I'm at work), but I'll explain the most likely one.

Essentially you need to open the car up for editing & look for a file that's name starts with "env" usually this is an image of a glossy ball, but not always. To cut back on the shine, darken this image.

I Darkened the Glossy ball image of "env",but the coaches remain still shining:(

Then most of the shine is coming from the mesh it's self. I'm not sure the feature still exists but PEV's PM2IM tool has/d an option to zero the speculars. If you open the IM file with this tool, turn on the toggle to zero them, then run the tool (might have that out of order, it's been a long time since I had to do this) it could help. When it's in the mesh it's more difficult to modify it.
