assistance with gmax

Hello,...
my question is: how do i make that front curve, under the windows and above ''6004'' using SU8 or gmax? i used google sketchup pro 8 to make everything. i also have gmax but with very little/no experience.

Thank you for your help.
Little / no experience with GMax you say. Hate to break the news but you really should learn to walk before attempting a marathon. There is a steep (some would say a cliff) learning curve to using GMax, or any other sophisticated modeling program for that matter, and so starting with a locomotive is perhaps a tad ambitious.

Why not put this project on hold for a while and make a few simpler things. What you will learn about manipulating vertices and applying textures will go a long way to helping you make you loco.

If you haven't already found them, there are several basic
tutorials available to get you started. I suggest you try a few. They may seem too simple but it is really worth the time.
