Asset downloaded but the CM says it's still on DLS

Hello Trainz forums!

So I installed the BR Wainwright H and R1 class locomotive from paulhobbs. The installation was a success- but one of the assets- "Locomotive Headlamp (Non- GWR Pattern)" is showing up as a missing dependency. I have downloaded the latest version of the asset and tried both CDP and download to the Content Manager- but it shows up as installed- while the dependencies show it still being on the DLS.

I've never had this problem before with a missing asset- any help would be appreciated.

The asset's KUID is- kuid2:44090:68:1

44090:68:1 has been obsoleted by 44090:621:43 which is on the DLS. When you try and download 44090:68:1 you get 44090:621:43 instead which is why 44090:68:1 is still shown as being on the DLS. Both locomotives should no longer be showing missing dependencies though - is this the case?

Hello paul :)
According to the CM I have the old one "Locomotive headlamp (non- GWR pattern) (kuid2:44909:68:1) as well as the newer one- "Locomotive headlamp_non_GWR_pattern_not_scripted"(kuid2:44090:621:43) currently installed. In the case of the former it shows as "update available"- the newer asset is currently at "local". In the case of both locos they show up as missing said obsolete dependency- not the newer one.

If it's the case that since both asset versions are present and are conflicting, how would I remove the obsolete asset? Because the CM won't allow me to delete it by itself.

Trainz 2012 build 49922.

Wainwright H class- kuid2:44090:1107:6

Wainwright R1 class 0-6-0T- kuid:44090:1134

According to the DLS these are both the latest versions of each loco.

I get the occasional asset which fails to load a kuid2 dependency although it is available locally. It's a glitch which I can't explain, but I fix it by simply modifying the dependant asset config file to reflect the kuid of the latest available asset.

You should just be able to delete 44090:68:1.

Something funny going on here. 44090:621:43 is trainz-build 3.5 which is TS12 without SP1 - the asset can't be showing as missing. I'll have to see if I have an installation of TS12 somewhere to check this out.

Ok, I've found out what is happening. 44090:621:43 obsoletes 44090:68 but not 44090:68:1 which is what the locomotives are expecting to find. Downloading 44090:621:43 makes 44090:68:1 out of date and because of this the locos can't find it. This is all caused by a bug in TS12 without SP1, TS12 SP1 and T:ANE work properly.

I've uploaded 44090:621:44 to the DLS which works around the bug.

Thanks Paul! They both work now. :)

I would have rather wanted to post something else as a first topic, but this was a bug that I had never seen before- and I'm a bit of a noob when it comes to programming.
