If your interested in C&NW you might want to look at some Union Pacific routes. Union Pacific brought out C&NW about 10 years ago. Clinton sub divison of the Union Pacific runs from just east of Clinton Iowa and runs the first 60 or so miles from Clinton to points west. Has some tremendous freight yards. It is also a very busy route as it runs some 70 to 80 trains in a 24 hour period. It runs a lot of coal, grain, chemicals and refrigerated meat.
If I had the patience I would create a trainz route like this. The other thing that stops me from doing this is that I don't have any good layout maps to copy from.
The Clinton Sub Divison is part of Double track main line that runs from Chicago Il. to Omaha NE. This route is also rich in history as it follows the path of the very first transcontinental railroad in the US that had its beginning I think way back in 1869(give or take a couple years). Another point of interest is that all of its trains run on the left track instead of the normal right side.
Sorry to ramble on this way but I thought it might be of interest You all have a great day.
