For anybody into British steam, and who has not seen the Castle created by skipper1945 just recently available on DLS ....... go get it!

After a change of engine sound and specs to accomodate TC3, I now have a lovely Castle running around. Great job skipper1945 ..... to have such a nice loco available for free ......... how can anybody complain about Trainz?

Huge thanks.

Colin.

I agree, a superb bit of content creation. I found the enigine exhaust sound very loud in 04, but maybe that's how they were...?
But a big well done for this loco.

God bless,

Angela

George has made some wonderful locos both steam and diesel over the years.

One question I would like to ask is exactly what specs do I need to change for these steamers off the DLS to make them run OK in TC3 please anyone ??

Thankz. ex-railwayman.

I simply copied/pasted the specs and sound from the A3 in TC3.

Good luck. The Castle converted like a dream with no hitches, If you try it with other locos it can involve a few other changes however, if you get into problems there are lots of people here ready to assist - and you can email me if necessary as I have pretty much all my TRS2004 stuff now running in TC3.

:)

Hmmmmm, my only problem with that is that I can't get my head around which .ja files to transfer over, as there are so many, and subsequently if any locomotives need built-in assets from TRS2004, I'm scuppered. I'll give this a go and see how I get on.

Thankz again Col.

Rename them by putting trs2006 or trs2004 in front then copy them all in.

Cheerio John

Thanks John, I attempted to follow the instructions on the Trainz Classic website using my TRS2004 stuff, but finished up with over 170,000 assets in my built-in area, I don't think I've done it properly.......:hehe:
