Apologies if I have ever been rude to anyone...

Hi all

I have something that may/may not be fit for a public forum but I have something that is bugging me and I need to express it someway.

This is a Trainz forum of course, but I feel I need help.

I'm constantly worried about being rude to people, I don't go out of my way to be rude, I'd much rather be polite to people.

I do have Aspergers Syndrome which may explain why I act differently in social circumstances. I've always found it hard to make friends because of my traits.

There are people on this forum who I have inadvertantly been rude to, I didn't do it on purpose. I infact like people, I hate being rude to anyone.

To anyone I have been rude to in the past, I wish to make an apology to eveyone of those people. I am sorry if I was rude to you, I really didn't mean it.

I am wanting to make friends, it'd help me with my self esteem and to overcome depression.

I know this is a Trainz forum but I really need some help. I do have depression, I also have an anxiety disorder.

I am getting help from a speciallist but I don't see her for a couple of weeks.

Anyway, thanks folks for listening to me. I know a Trainz forum probably isn't the place to talk about personal issues but I am depressed and need to talk to someone.

PMs maybe a better way to offer help if you can. Use these forums to talk about Trainz, PM any opinions on this matter.

Thanks folks.

I don't think you've ever been rude Col, especially with myself and others around, but hey - I'm not there 24/7, but at least you're man enough to admit you're not perfect (and who is?). Sure, we all can say/do things we later regret, and the way of words on a screen, can never truly represent that which actual words can do (despite copious smilies/etc).
I've always believed, if I have a grievance with someone, I'd try my best to speak directly with that person, and seek a peaceful resolution to the problems, and if this can not be achieved, then try not to let things escalate. At least, that's my belief, others opinions may differ to the contrary.

Hey there colhad,

We have met a few times down here in Mexico :D (Sydney, NSW) and I have to say you are anything but rude. In fact I think you are shy like me.

People don't believe it when I say that I am shy, but I have to try real hard to meet people, and some people are easier to meet that others ;)

Hang in there Colhad. :)

Regards

I've never seen you being rude to anybody on this forum Colin in all these years, so I don't think you have anything to apologise for.....I am a little surprised today as you have never aired your personal problems before, but, I'm sure that fellow Trainzers worldwide will feel very empathetic with you and will offer our help and understanding personally and plenty of advice and suggestions / ideas for future layout projects. For me personally, you have submitted so many layouts in the past, ALL of which were an exceptionally high standard and it could be seen just how much patience, thought and quality was afforded each one. You obviously like trains from around the world and this shows in your enthusiasm to develop stronger relations with fellow Trainzers around the world. You're one of our top top top Aussie Trainzers Col, so keep your chin up matey, we all love you for what you've offered us from down-under in the past and look forward to whatever you have up your sleeve in the future.....

Colhad,
Don't worry, your not the only one who has been diagnosed with that disorder. I have it too. Its just stress that gets to me sometimes. In all the posts i've seen you make, not one has had a rude remark, or even feel about it. Your a awesome guy, with a good eye for detail, and a true friend. Dont feel like your the down guy here.
Were all here for ya.

I also have a disease called "foot in the mouth disorder". Sometimes the disease gets the best of me too and an apology is in order but I always feel better after I have cleaned up my side of the street.:p

Colhad,

Its ok, we're only human beings. I can assure you that I'm certanly not perfect, and I think everyone knows that :hehe:. Its also good to let your frustrations out somewhere, and talk to someone about it. Anyways, have a great time with Trainz, and have a wonderful Thanksgiving...

Happy thanksgiving to you and I've never seen any posts from you that I considered rude. Best of luck to you.

no worries here

I do have Aspergers Syndrome which may explain why I act differently in social circumstances. I've always found it hard to make friends because of my traits.

Your not alone but I took the test and failed seems I have ASD instead (Autistic Spectrum Disorder). I do not think you have anything to go around saying your sorry for at all. I think you handle yourself very well in the fourms and show none of signs of being aspe at all.

PM me if you want to chat anytime. Oh by the way who did the diagnoses on aspe I am no child psychologist (well not until my Clinical supervisor signs off all my paper work that is, come back March next year and should be able to give you full diagnoses on if you sane or not :hehe: :hehe:  ) but the tools used and the thinking on what is and is not aspe is chaning all the time so you may not be aspe at all.

I wouldn't worry over it and best wishes from me anyway although I have no idea about anyone being unpleasant to anybody from forum names I know.

Thanks folks, I'm in better spirits today.

I get a bit down and sometimes I need to express things. Not always in the best places, I guess a Trainz forum isn't the place but thanks anyway folks.

Hi Col

Another Sydney connection-- Your contributions and assistance are always welcome and helpful-- I heartily second axes comments.

There has been a great amount of upset in the forums lately and it is understandable that the community needs reassurance that the vast majority of the forum members wish to behave respectfully and appropriately.
Greets to all moderators -- Thanks for your work to help the forums function.
(( the forum version of Live Long and Prosper-- Type carefully -express yourself thoughtfully ---respect others --- then Post )
