I just want to know if anyone here still uses iPortal since I installed TRS2006 on my Vista yesterday (Workes fine BTW :D) after years on using it on my XP and since I've never used iPortal before in my 2-3 years of owning TRS2006 I wanted to give it a go.

Yes! I do

Yes!... I do:) Very handy also for deleting unwanted consists from your layout after you have run them to their desired end destination. You can elect to have them run off the end of the track when you have done what you wanted to do with that particular consist, quite often, I put them in at both ends of the layout. so the i Portal is not just for porting the consists to other layouts or to other members - I was informed that there was a portal in 2004, but I never noticed any portals in TRS 2004, so I often had to just derail the consists at the end of the line, or find some other way of clearing my layouts of used train consists, now with 2006, I can put as many portals in as I like, though I usually only put in two or three on each layout

iPortal Session?

So bushy wanna start an iPortal session? Since I haven't downloaded any custom content for TRS2006 on Vista yet (Got a heck of a lot of Custom Content on my XP though but runs slower that a snail in a 100m sprint :p) I'll be using Tidewater North (Or is it south with all the industries? I forget easily but I've got TRS2006 running right now (That shows just how comfortable Vista is with running it) I can check)

THis is a completely off topic post but:
I've been running TRS2006 for the past 2 hours in minimized mode now and it's working perfectly fine. FSX couldn't manage 2 minutes in minimized mode :hehe:. Eat your heart out Microsoft! :p

Anyways back on topic and I registered on the forum. I would have registered with my customary "WIzzie" username but using this one may help me be identifiable

edited iportal settings so all trains will be sent to you. As I said before I only have default content so I'll be using Tidewater North. Also (completely off topic again) my montior is giving me this strange issue that I can't see anything left of the tal in portal ID when changing the portal settings and anything above the current speed limit display in DCC mode so I have absolutely no idea how fast I'm going :P

Yes! I would if I had an internet connection on my own computer, but I am reliant on a public library computer, and there is an hour time limit, not much time to be playing around on that, firstly, one cannot get the time to install trainz on it, get all the things done that you need to, plus you also need to buy extra copies of TRS to use on subsequent computers. the library staff usually clean off everything that gets put on at the end of each day. and by the taime you get all that done, there goes your hour, otherwise I would...

I did have a dial up connection on my old computer, but recentlly had Telstra broadband on my laptop, until I got the first bill, that was the end of that idea... I sent the little USB wireless thing back to Telstra and went back to having nothing again. No use having dial up - that just limps and struggles along... By the way! the first bill I got was for $388AUD, fortunately because I cancelled the contract within the 10 cooling off period, and contacted Telstra, I only had to pay my nomral home line amount for that month $25.00... broadband in Regional Australia is fine as long as you can afford it... but if you can't, then its Dial Up, and you're in the painfullly slow league again.
