Anyone get the AG classes to work? TANE

<kuid:523:1972918> --- Interior that others are looking for - built-in on TS12. Export it if you have TS12 installed and run it through AssetX or repair it using PEV's Image2TGA utility.

< kuid:123250:100523> --- can't help you here. Use the Trainz Kuid Index (TKI) www.trainzkuidindex.com to find this, or at least point out where it maybe. It very well could be payware and no longer available. You will need to sign up, but registration is free. I recommend donating something to the guy so he can maintain the service.

how do i use AssetX to repair for TANE?

Install it as Administrator along with the other tools You need to install all the plug-ins available as well as the rest of PEV's tools such as Images2TGA and PM2IM. Simple enough - just follow the typical Windows installers.

AssetX is a bit more complex, but because there is no direct T:ANE support just yet, you need to skip over the filter setup for TS2009, etc. This is when you run it the first time because you don't have these versions installed. You may want to fill in your user Kuid details in the options.

When you finally run it, run as administrator. Open up the assets for editing in Content Manager that you want to repair, and in AssetX use the File Add Asset... instead of loading them automatically. All the rest of the tools apply.

A bit of a warning. Do not up-version the asset from whatever it is. Doing so may cause other things to break, and will introduce more errors since the newer versions have stricter error checking and are more forgiving to older asset versions.

ok i somehow got the y6b to work so still trying for the AG
it has a faulty dependency its the front engine
it says in the warning window-
VE170: failed to open compiled texture 'digit_0.texture'
VE165: texture 'digit_0.texture' is missing or could not be loaded

it says in the warning window-
VE170: failed to open compiled texture 'digit_0.texture'
VE165: texture 'digit_0.texture' is missing or could not be loaded
Is it missing? If so, then create it. If not, you need to find out why it failed to load. Right-click the error messages in the error log window to see information about each error.

just by the dlc ones. they completely blow the doors, wheels, rods, textures, weathering, and everything else off those msts ports.

i just really need the front engine.
kuid2 96914 50167 3 AG Front Engine

it just keeps giving codes
VE170: failed to open compiled texture 'digit_0.texture'
VE165: texture 'digit_0.texture' is missing or could not be loaded

agclass2.png

this one shows up faulty
here is the error i recieve
agclass.png

how do i fix this?

Check any subfolders for the digits to ensure they are not placed in the wrong place. I've had that with shadows and night meshes missing textures, etc.

Are the other assets you have listed faulty?

If not open one of them up for edit and copy the same missing texture to the faulty asset. This process can fix a multitude of broken assets.

Hint:

If you are going to start repairing your content, I recommend creating a folder called Missing Parts or something like that and put all these little found parts in there. I have one that has the usual missing things which were found elsewhere or recreated such as coronas, black.tga, and many of the common missing textures. Included are the .texture.txt files as well. In addition I also have a Trainz Tech-Info folder which contains the tidbits of helpful hints I have gathered from the forums for years. I have such things as mesh-tables, YARN road fixes, script fixes, etc.

i used your idea and copied the texture from an H8 front engine and it works now, thank you

You are welcome, I'm glad this worked.

Take a copy of the texture and texture.txt file and put it into a parts folder for future repairs. This error is quite common.
