Hi guys,
Does anyone else here have a problem merging routes in TS12?
I have found that if the route is populated, i.e. has assets on it, Trainz will sit there with the disk grinding away like it's doing something, then crash to the desktop. It then brings up a send to the developer, or Microsoft a crash report box, and launches Outlook for me to mail away the report.
At first I thought it was my route being way too big, so I tried this on some smaller routes and the same thing happens.
Merging in blank baseboards works fine without any problems.
Desktop System Specs:
Processor: 2.667ghz i7
Memory: 8GB
Hard Disks: 3x - 1TB and 2x 2TB (all single drives no RAID0)
Video Card: ATI 6970 1GB.
Audio: SoundBlast XFi
Network: Dual RealTek Nic
Motherboard is ASUS and all up to date.
All drivers are current, I killed all unnecessary processes running, disconnected from the network, spun around in my chair and through up fairy dust, and it still happened. I figured the latter move would fix the problem, but I apparently dropped a dust spec someone and the fairies didn't catch all the crumbs.
The same thing happens on my Alienware M17x, which has similar specs except for smaller hard drives and different video card.
John
