Any Amfleet/welded rail tracksounds out there?

Hey all,

Wondering if anyone knows of any good bogeysounds/tracksounds out there that would work for Amfleet cars. I'm looking for that nice welded rail hiss. The default sounds are beyond terrible, and all the good tracksounds I know of, such as Jointedrail's, are too "harsh" and include too many click-clacks and squeaks. I feel like a good European content creator has likely produced something of this type, but I'm not very familiar with any of the euro trainz sites.

Also, anyone know how to disable the default tracksounds in T:ANE? It appears that trainzoptions.tzt doesn't work.

Hi Woody,

There is no Trainzoptions.txt file in T:ANE. That was Jet engine-only.

Regarding track sounds... There are some track sounds that you attach to the track, but I don't know of any offhand for the bogies. You could look on the DLS for a dependency of some kind for some European stock. Yup... I agree they have some great content! You could then modify your bogies and include the sound container as it's laid out in the content you find.

I imported the Amfleet Bogey sound from TS15 into Trainz. It sounds pretty good. If you want it, i could email it to ya.

Do not distribute assets that you transferred from another game, or even another author unless you have explicit permission to do so.

Thanks for the info! Right after starting this thread (LOL), the idea struck me that I could copy the sounds string from the default BR HST passenger car bogeys, and paste that string into the Amfleet Pioneer III bogey's config file. It works flawlessly, and while the sounds are not perfect, I think they will suffice until I can get something better.
