Another weird happening!

As I commented on elsewhere I lost all my signals a while back when going from 2010 to 2012 but just noticed another weirdo happening on my Irish adventure. All my N.Ireland Railways stations and Halts had an NIR blue platform shelter and I have now discovered that every single platform north of the border has gone. So looked on the DLS under the man who originally produced them and all his NI Rly stuff is still there except those dashed shelters which is going to be a nuisance holding me back to get a replacement on all the routes. Amusingly an old pc with TRS10 still has those shelters! Weird, eh??

That is a good question John! Actually that NIR platform shelter was the only NI Rail item that disappeared from his items on the DLS, When it happened I went to that old pc and TRS10 took a copy of the shelter and imported it into TR12 on the present pc to see what happened then save the route. The one copy temporarily put in is there and it does appear in the LS list but has the exclamation mark stating "Warning: This asset uses an obsolete trainz-build number. Trainz-build numbers below 2.9 are no longer supported". It was only when I was having a break from my Irish Rail extensions suth of the Border and notice and having a wee look back over my Ulster thing that I noticed the shelters mssing from a station then groaned when each other station the same.

Now that has me pondering as I have all those stations to put the shelter back onto platforms and not sure what their future would be when I am done with this challenging Irish project. I am going to have to redo all the signals north of the Border that vanished going from 2010 to 2012 a while back anyway but must also face this platform issue and that they would stay second time??

Happy New Year, Bobby!

The warnings you are seeing can be ignored. That's not what I meant. I mean did someone update, meaning "fix" (quotes being sarcastic) the asset and cause it not to appear after you updated them. I've had that happen with some things in the past, and even had some locos stop working after someone played with the engine spec.

If I were you, I would check Content Manager in TS12 for any faulty, open for edit, or missing dependencies on your route. There's a possibility that the signals you are using have a problem and now don't show up. I've had that issue myself with some content a long time ago.

The other issue too is those bloody layers. Ensure you didn't put your signals and switch levers on a Session layer instead of the Route layer. This can cause a similar problem as well. The solution for that is to merge the two different layers together - been there too a couple of times as well.
