Another interesting question...

MKT Forever and always
yet another stupid question from a yank who's a bit more into british steam than he should be:hehe: but I'm kind of on a GWR fling right now, and i was wondering...does anybody know of a class 4575 2-6-2 tank engine? I know there's an older one by skipper 1945 on the DLS, and that LMS_Man has one as payware, but i'd rather prefer it to be freeware, and i'm not sure that i'm totally in love with the older one skipper did. Personally, I'm looking for the BR green lined version, but i'd take anything i can get.

here's the reason i'm asking; I've got just about every tank engine the GWR owned, and i just need the 4575 to round out the roster. The reason i'm asking about the BR version is I'm modelling that era...not sure i'm in love with GWR paint, but they sure look good in BR colors.

Any help would be appreciated, and if i'm asking for something that doesn't exist, just tell me. Just another question from the yank who thinks he might be on the wrong side of the Atlantic.

45xx on the DLS

Search for "45xx" on the DLS. It's a new release (November 2010) by skipper. And it's an absolutely spiffling piece of kit too.

As a GWR fan (Gods Wonderful Railway) The original GWR livery was by far better than the BR scheme. As a train spotter in my youth I experienced both liveries and was disappointed that the coaching stock changed from chocolate and cream to all maroon and blood and custard and subsequently to the grey and blue. Locos repainted to a standard black for tank engines, at least most of the tender locos remained in their original green
