As most of us know, today is the 11th anniversary of the 9/11 tragedy that took place in New York City in 2001. We as Americans should pay our respects as well as others. That's what Amtrak did today. An announcement by the official Amtrak page on Facebook said that all Amtrak engineers on duty today would sound they're horn at 1:00 p.m. and take a moment of silence to remember the lives lost on that fateful day, September 11th, 2001. Bravo to Amtrak for such professionalism and may the victims rest in peace.

Regards,

-Blake

Amtrak (This is a big rumor i heard from a couple of people) was supposed to do 4 911 units, Representing each part, One engine for the Pentagon , 2 for the towers and 1 with all the "branches" (FDNY,NYPD,PANYNJ). The rumor goes, Those units were canceled do to our president saying "No"

I doubt the president said no, its just a lack of government funding for Amtrak. Well not necessarily under funding its just a tight budget. But maybe they can repaint some of the units on duty in new York city on 9/11/01
