Depends on the DLC. If it is Murchison 2, Settle&Carlisle or Classic Cabon City the Steam versions will install as add-ons to the Steam version of TS10, even if you don't have TS10. You can then move the .ja files to your Steam/N3V TS12 Builtin folder. If it is Duchess or Blue Comet, on the other hand, they will need a Steam version of Trainz to install into.[...] The steam/amazon DLC will be ok if you have a steam version of trainz, not the n3v version [...]
Ken, I know you can copy the .ja files of Steam Duchess and Blue Comet into N3V versions of Trainz; I did that myself. But, can you install Steam Duchess and Blue Comet without having a Steam version of Trainz to install them into in the first place? I don't think so, and that's what I meant - I'm sorry if I wasn't clear enough about this. You need to buy and install a Steam version of Trainz in order to install Steam Duchess or Blue Comet before copying to a N3V version of Trainz. At least, that's my understanding.
