Alistar is fun !!!!

Hi
Being in a light hearted mood I thought of all the things Alistar and his AI mates can get wrong, and as Trainz is fun why not have a thread that relates his errors for us all to enjoy, I'll start with one, I gave Alistar insrtuction to " run round train " and he went 147 boards before going back and completing the task.... !!! good job I was watching TV as well at the time.

LOL! Well, my favorite is Alastair goes the wrong way sometimes and he always derails the train on Industrial Wasteland by the port

You know, Alistar is a real person...?
Hes 'Harry James Potter' on the forums, and i know he doesn't quite like these kinds of threads talking about him, i really suggest we stop.:confused:

With all respects to "Harry James Potter" there have been enough complaints about Alistar in the past and Harry is not at fault.

Once he drove a train through the edge of a baseboard on my layout, about 100ft below the mountain, I have no idea how he did it and wish I still had the Screenshot.

Again. A reminder. We are one and the same. It just happens to be my first name you know. And if you are going to type it, at least have the decency to spell it correctly.

If you're going to take the mick, take it out of the AI in general, NOT just one driver.

I got kind of tired of those other threads, like disrecpecting you. so, instead of keeping it going, i just try to end it, just to respect people.

The only reason Alistair gets picked on the most is he is the first name on the list of AI drivers. If it had been Bob something or other, he would be the one picked on. Nobody's picking on HJP.

But Alistair is legendary! At driving badly.
Of course other drivers are using the same AI, too, but Alistair has this legendary reputation solely because his name begins with A. :p

HJP, it's not like anyone is insulting you. We are making fun of the, ahem, not-so competent driver AI.
 
It doesn't matter what the driver's name is. The names put unwanted clutter on the map view so I change them all to one- or two-digit numbers. And I use autopilot, so they never make mistakes.

Where do you think the pic came from in the first place!?! I still have a copy of the pic that I took of me. I can tell you where, on what machine and why, at the last moment, I decided to put the hat on.

Nobody might be picking on me but why does my name come up every time the game's AI screws up? That's what is really beginning to bug me. People are knocking the AI driver known as 'alastair' and not the AI in general.

It's just a game, No one is picking on you HJP we are not even talking about you.

It's the AI drivers that we are talking about.

Aye, normally I drive with Adair because he's the first driver listed, and since I don't often drive multiple trains (and I avoid AI like the plague) I can't complain if I have to use Alastair.

sorry, but I don't understand your sensitivity on this. I don't believe that anyone even has you in their mind when they're talking about the AI driver. It's just a game, have some fun.
 
Hey ease down, its not you its the game that has Alistar, and I think he gets picked as on he seems to be in so many locos even if its supposed to be someone else and we all agree that its all the AI drivers not just Alistar, but even you cannot deny that they do some very wierd and stupid stuff at times, but they are fun to watch
