Alignment of a Cab

How can I fix the alignment of a cab so this doesn't happen?

Thanks!

From study of your photo, it appears that the interior mesh you are using is 180 degrees out from what it needs to be... there is a position and an orientation command mentioned in this thread:

You could use the orientation command to rotate the mesh 180 degrees. You would need to clone the interior first so as not to affect other models that it goes to right now. After you have the orientation correct, you can use the position command to line it up where it needs to be.

Consult the wiki for more info on the commands (if it is there).

No it's rotation is fine. It is coupled to a BNSF sd70mac like this --> <--

I think it is sticking out way to far.

1: Do the 2 models look correct when coupled like this?
2: Does it do this while inside the cab only?

"Authorities say the elderly engineer accidentally applied the throttle instead of the brake. No one was in the other locomotive, and the engineer was shaken up, treated for minor injuries and released. An investigation has been launched..."

an investigation? wow, usually everyone just blames the crew and that is the end of the investigation. usually takes a total of 5 minutes :hehe:

Ok, sounds like you need to use the position command and add a little negative offset to pull it back to where it needs to be.

EDIT: Negative in the y component.

EDIT 2: Finding this number is a bit of work. you will need to start with a value, say -1.0 , start up the game, see how far back it moved. Go back to CMP, open for edit, make another adjustment, start the game, etc....

Ok where do I edit this?

In content creator or the config.txt file. It would help if you provided the KUID numbers of the cabview you're using and the loco you're trying to use it with, then someone with cab hacking experience could examine the problem and tell you exactly what steps to take.

I'mnot at my Trainz computer now but I can tell you the names. I am trying to put CloakedGhosts sd70mac cab in Jointedrails UP Es44ac. (the default cab isn't right either!:hehe: )

...
You should read the rest of that thread. Especially post #3.

Then look for the default mesh in the mesh-table in the cab (interior) asset. That's where I'd start.

PS I didn't find that cab listed on the dls or in TS12 or TS10. Maybe someone else will have better luck.

It's payware.
