Airport+industry question

I had ts2004 and there, airport had special places for trains to onload oil etc. Where are those in TANE? So far I'm downloading all with airport from DLS but haven't seen anything like this.

The default "airport industry" only accepts Passengers and General Goods.

There are other industries that accept oil, like the refinery, or oil products, produced by the refinery and accepted by for example the coal mine.

You can "make" your own industry by using, for example, the "multi industry" tracks.

Could you tell me little bit more about default airport industry?
What do you mean by multi industry? Just adding few industries next to each other?

Lookup these assets and play a bit with them :) :
<kuid:453099:1253> Multiple Industry - Liquids
<kuid:-25:73> Multiple Industry
<kuid:-25:74> Multiple Industry basic
<kuid:-25:655> Multiple Industry New
<kuid:-25:617> Industry Airport

May I make a small correction? The airport also accepts diesel and av-fuels.

@ OP Once you figure out the multi industry assets, you will be impressed at the open ended versatility of them, thus demoting the active industry assets to static objects. You will have possibilities for larger holding capacities, custom consume/produce @ faster or slower count/rate. These multis are great for me as I enjoy proccessing longer rakes of stock.

Thanks for the correction. You are absolutely right.
Wonder how I could forget that, especially when I had just written that into an overview for one of my own routes :hehe:.

Thanks, I got that now.
Playing more with airplanes, a question arises: can I make AI to fly plane in certain path (junctions) and maintain speed limit? Planes flying over 85kph 'derail' taking corners. And can I block AI in driver mode so that it'd make its job flying and couldn't be accessed?

Its quite complicated but ready made airports are huge, and I wanted to make small mountain airport.

EDIT: I noticed I can "open for edit" assets in content manager. After I open them for edit - how to actually edit them?

Yes use an invisible speed asset to slow them to a safe speed or try wider turns. Though they are aircraft, they are essentially bound by the same rules as the trains on the rails. Go too fast and they fly off the rails.

As for airports, there are many assets available to build custom airfields to suit your taste. It's a matter of what you wish to put together. Search for keywords "runway" "control tower" "airport" "airfield" "taxiway" "hangar" just to start you off.

Not sure about the AI driver being "blocked" I just give them orders and leave them to their tasks.

Since you are seemingly new to the Trainz world, I would strongly suggest not touching the "edit" until you have asked specific questions, learned more about how to edit configs or scripts, and feel fully confident about messing with this area. This is an area that has a potential for wrecking assets and creating a nightmare trying to figure out where it went wrong.

Hope this gives you a foot in the door for getting you to what you are seeking.
