Aircraft, Invisible Track, & AI Drivers

Using TRS2004:

Is there a way to control the speed of aircraft in AI Driver mode while using invisible track?

I've currently set up a route with invisible track and invisible speed signs for aircraft. In AI mode the aircraft just creep along at 3 mph. I've tested a loco and it followed the speed signs correctly so I'm assuming its with the aircraft I've downloaded (Boeing 747, lear jet, piper, & cessna).

Does anyone know a fix for this or any aircraft that will follow speed signs?

Thanks.

Try using some invisible signals, to divide the track into (four or more) separate blocks. With a free block ahead the aircraft should obey the speed signs.

I suppose it would depend on what you want the planes to do. I set up a loop path for a little bi-plane, barn storming and zooming under bridges ect on my old timey route. All I do is have a little path or an airstrip in a hidden area for the plane to start at, then when I open the route, I just manually crank the plane to full throttle and let in run in the background. It's just kind of animated scenery that you see buzzing around from different angles.

The locos should maintain 40mph on a signalled track without speed boards, and 20mph on an unsignalled track with speed boards.

Using TRS2004

The locos follow the speed signs perfectly with no signals. I placed several invisible signals on the track but get the same results. The aircraft just creep at 3 mph.

Its just a simple straight run of invisible track. Maybe I should try different signals and speed signs. Does anyone have recommendations?

Switch the plane and a loco to the other's track and see what happens. If there is a change then it with the track and you might try a different invisible track. If there is not change, then it is within the aircraft's configuration. you then could try to increase the mass of the aircraft for more speed.

I tried all the aircraft I've downloaded on the regular track and it doesn't follow the speed signs there either. Since the locos seem to work fine on the invisible track and the aircraft don not on any track in AI mode I'm considering it case closed.

If anyone knows of any aircraft that will follow speed signs correctly in AI mode please post. Thanks.

Using 2006 I have no issue with the AI operating any type of vehicle. I don't understand why you are having different results with 2004, sorry.:(
