Ai train creation?/portals

This is far fetched, but has anyone gotten a portal/ai to create random trains? And what I mean by this is a portal can build a consist from a list of engines and rolling stock and spawn it out the portal. I’ve seen a screenshot from a guy on Facebook who’s made it happen but haven’t seen something like that since….if anyone knows about something like this please keep me in touch! Would make the game so much more interesting

Another thing, I’m starting to get into portals now for my extremely large trainz route, mainly for the purpose of spawning random trains at random times, is there a way where I can make the portal spawn random consist with a time longer than 59 minutes? If so that would be amazing. If anyone else here has any good tips when it comes to portals please let me know as well!

Portals will randomly, well randomly based on the user added consists and the random part is based on the number of consists placed in them.

Have you tried other longer times? I never did which is why I'm asking.

More recently, I've started using iPortals. iPortals allow connecting individual routes together either locally or between other Trainz users. When using the cloud connection, both users need to have the same content installed.

Using this method, I've added extensions to my 190 mile route without increasing the size of the route. I send trains to the portals and then pick them up at the other end and send them through that route to another portal either a regular portal or another iPortal.

I’ve been using iportals for a couple of years now but they’re very spotty and inconsistent with a lot of issues rising for me when using them, the main problem is is that the I portals will spawn some of your train and then the rest will never come out basically clogging the portal so if you have multiple trains in them and half of one of your trains comes out but not the other the entire portal is jammed, which basically means you loose all your other consist that were sent into the portal, another thing is that iportals sometimes derail consist while coming out of it which is another big problem. Lastly I wish they would add a function where you can spawn a certain consist in the portal when you’d like instead of it spawning on its own

I've been lucky with consists not derailing. I agree, there should be a way to pick and choose which consists we'd like to release.
