HELP!!!!! i got my payware loco from Phil_C's website and it shows up in railyard and survayor with no problems. but once i go to driver, it wont work!!!! UGH!!!!!!!!! :n:

License key and username do not match. all efected locomotives will now derail.
Either you are using an illegal copy of world of trainz
Locomotives or you have not entered your user details corectly.

I also suggest following the link posted by StorkNest.

However, I'm quite certain your problem lies with the Gatekeeper system that comes with the units. Either you haven't installed it correctly, or the username you entered when you bought the engines was not the same as the one your copy of Trainz is registered to.

Either way, like I said above, I'm sure Phil over at World of Trainz can help you get your engines running.

PLEASE!!! phil didnt really help. i emailed him my problems and did whatever i needed to do INCLUDING looking at the foruns but no good.

anyone else have an answer to my delema?

i think if phil c was here, he will solve my delema

actually the gatekeeper thing did install corectle BUT, how do i check if my user name is correct? i mean i cant log on to his website even with my CORRECT username and password

I know what the problem is...

:cool: When you sign in to buy locomotives on the World of Trainz website, you must enter your username exactly like it's posted in the Welcome box at the upper right corner of this page.

You have evidently entered an anomaly whilst purchasing & Gatekeeper is working well today.

I'll dig out my work around & let you know if the answer does not come to you soon...keep in touch with World of Trainz.

The message quoted in the OP is that the gatekeeper security system that comes with WOT products has detected a different username/password from the one programmed into it. This is nothing to do with fuel or anything else.
 
Sorry if this is obvious advice:
Check whether each letter should be upper case (capital letters) or lower case.
Check characters which can look very similar to each other such as o O 0 and i I l L 1.

ok BUT, i still cant get in to world of trainz even WITH my correct username and password. without that its useless. i told Phil_C about this problem but no replys.

There's Phil_C's site (by far the best place), here, or the other Trainz fansites and forums.

Check what Phil_C suggested. Make sure you've done it. If that doesn't fix it, go back to him explaining (politely!) exactly what is wrong. If there are any error messages, list them in full so he can see the problem. If the problem is visual, a screenshot may help. Make it as easy for him to help you as possible.

ok i would tell him my problems but i cant log in to his website. i typed my correct username and password and still i cant get in. idk maybe ill never get my $5 back:eek:
 
Try registering again but the forum software might object if you use the same username and email address. In which case use another username and a different email adresss (HotMail, etc). I imagine that under the circumstances Phil won't mind (I hope).

Make sure you have your username and ID number in the settings area of Trainz too or the gate keeper won't recognize you, and therefore won't let you use the engine.

First off, this may be a stupid question, but I'm going to ask anyway...Have you registered on the WOT forums? You can't just type in your Trainz user name and expect to get in. Sorry if that is stating the obvious, but it's good to rule out those problems.

Secondly, there is an easy way to check and see if the Gatekeeper issue we're talking about is the actual problem. I assume that you've saved the installation files for the units and the Gatekeeper somewhere, right? The Gatekeeper installer should be called "Gatekeeper - YourUserName" - at least, it is for me. Check that, and ensure that it matches up with the user name that you have in CMP. At least then you can rule out that issue.

I have no record of a customer with the user name of wheelnrail purchasing from me. Therefore you either supplied an incorrect user name or you have an illegal copy. Given that you are talking about losing your five dollars I would say you have supplied an incorrect user name which happens quite regularly. Please contact me at support at worldoftrainz dot com with your purchase details and I will send you a new Gatekeeper file.

to everyone. yes i bought the train LEGALY with the help of my dad and YES i registered with WOT. and now, phil, my username on WOT is drg, but since this could'nt get me on your forums i couldnt post it there so i registered a new name drgw and THAT didnt work. keep replying im still waiting for an answer. thanks

Hello Wheelnrail
I was not trying to imply that you had done anything illegal and I apologize if that has been your interpretation.

The problem is you used the World of Trainz user name instead of your Planet Auran user name. Gatekeeper does not care about World of Trainz details only about the in game user name.

I have recreated the email with your links and resent it to you with the correct user name. Please delete the existing Gatekeeper and reinstall the new one. You should not have to reinstall the locomotive or its dependencies but I have included the links just in case. Let me know if it works.
