After all tis time a minor track puzzlement!

This didn't bother me too much when building a tramway but now I am building a whole railway company system it makes me wonder.

On laying track I get to a junction or a siding. The arrows duly appear and sometimes they automatically set the points for the siding off rather than the main line whilst others are for the main route. Having been busy laying track and scenery so it wasn't a priority but when using someone else's route I downloaded all their branch cut-offs are set for the main line if you get me? Hardly end of the world stuff but a small point that has me curious. Is it just good luck or am I missing something very obvious?

Select the switch you want to set, then in Track-Trackside mode, look in the track menu at the bottom. you will see a 3 way switch image. Click on that and you can set the default setting for the switch. While you are in that area go to Track-Track mark mode-Advanced and you can set the switch detection radius from the default 20 metres to what ever you want.

Hello Peter,

Brilliant and it just had to be something I should have known but always overlooked that odd symbol! Have just went round all the niggly junctions. Many thanks for the prompt reply.
