Adobe Flash warning

Yesterday Adobe put out a security update, apparently they have yet another zero day problem which has been exploited to infect machines with ransomware visiting a web site. So one of the ads could carry the infection.

Hopefully no one is still using Flash, if you must Chrome runs it sandboxed which is safer.

I moved over to Chrome, but some of the live webcams I use won't work with it, so I moved back to Firefox.
Chrome is 'OK' with most stuff, but it's not as versatile as Firefox I.M.O.

I prefer firefox and normally use it with no script, but not for Flash stuff, then I switch to Chrome. Flash in Firefox is too risky. All it needs is an advert on the web site to be infected, you don't need to click on it and your computer can get encrypted. If you're happy to back up immediately before going to the cam website and the back up is off line then go ahead and use firefox and flash but I recommend updating your flash to the very latest version first.

My flash is always 'up to date', so are all my malware progs, plus my computer is 'multi O/S' & I have 'hard copy' genuine O/S discs.
If it manages to get through, it's got 3 O/S's to beat, then I'll just format & reinstall.

I'd suggest using the Adblock plus Chrome plugin, as it seems to block most adverts whether flash or not. May prevent the need to have to remove Flash.

Chrome is an operating system also. It hogs resources.
Open the task manager and take a good look at what it is doing.
That is why I abandoned it three years ago for Firefox.
And yes, I beta tested with Chromium with nightly builds, they were the good old days.
