Add-on installation problems with TS2010

I've had TS2010 in various locations on the PC but currently it is installed, patched to 44088 and working in Crogram File(X86)/TS2010. The S&C files are also installed and working from there, as are the Duchess & Coronation add-ons, as are numerous routes, sessions and assets downloaded from the DLS.

Auran have just offered us all a 50%-off voucher so I bought TS2012 but also The Blue Comet, the Chinese Schnabels and the Fleet of Mod. I intend to use the latter in TS2012 once it's exe files have downloaded, hopefully by sometime in 2013. Meanwhile I tried to run The Blue Comet installation file (which took only 10 mins to download) as an install into my TS2010 folder.

I get the message that the Blue Comet installation cannot proceed because "no copy of TS2010 was found" in the aforementioned folder where I have TS2010. And yet there TS2010 be; and it runs from there, no problem. My TS2010 serial number is registered and CMP works fine......

So I wonder what the problem is - what is the Blue Comet installation process looking for & failing to find as confirmation that a copy of TS2010 is extant in the folder it has been pointed at?

I never had a problem under XP, so I have to wonder if it's a permissions problem. Have you tried running the Blue Comet installer as Administrator?

If it's not permissions try putting the installer in the 2010 folder and running it from there?

Thanks for your suggestions, chaps......... but I have a confession to make: I have been a silly-billy and not noticed a certain space in the folder name wherein lies TS2010 (I mean TS 2010). Err, ahem!
