Acer Extensa 5420-5762 any good?

Hello everybody. I am having difficulties trying to by a laptop computer Under $1000.00 that will run Trainz 2006 properly. The issue always seem to arise with the Graphics Card. So far the best computer seems to be the Acer Extensa 5420-5762 but I have received mixed opinions as to how it will run Trainz 2006. Some say that any computer under $1000.00 will not be any good, while others have told me that this Acer should be more then I need. The specs are located below. Does anyone have this computer that is running Trainz 2006? Also will it run 2009 properly? Thanks.

CPU - AMD Athlon 64 X2 1.9Ghz
RAM - 2GB DDR2
HD - 250GB
Graphics - ATI RADEON HD2400XT up to 1024MB

I bought a used Dell D-620 with a Intel Core Duo 1.83, 2 gig of DDR2 memory and a Nvidia Quadro NVS 110M 256 meg video card and it plays 2006 good and 2009 pretty good. You can find these on ebay all of the time, just be sure to get the Nvidia video and not the Intel. I was amazed at how well this laptop plays games.

My brother has an iMac with the HD2400XT 128mb--works fine at 1680x1050 res. Go for it.
