Accident waiting to happen

So, you open your splash screens where you select your route, and later you select a session of that selected route. At the bottom we have "Delete session", "Edit session", and so on. The icon for delete session (or route in that splash screen) is too close to the other ones and when you work fast on the fly, easily confused. I know there is a pront after clicking to make sure you know what you are doing. But eventually someone, or me, when you have a long tiring editing sessions, are going to click and delete what you don't intent. Is it so much trouble to move this icon away, let's say to the left, and change the color to red? Not a major request, but surely it would prevent catastrophic outcomes in the far/distant future.

I know what you are saying and I mentioned it ages ago, however, there is a safeguard. When you click on the delete route, there's a warning message and an are you sure you really want to do this box along with a statement saying that deleting the route in this method will remove the session too. If you've inadvertently clicked on the wrong thing, as we're prone to do, then this warning will stop you in your tracks. Session deletion, while it doesn't say anything about removing the route and the session, and obviously it wouldn't, there is that are you sure you want to do this message box again.

These safeguards are there of course, but should you then delete the route and session, or the session-only, there's still the ability to recover these things by restoring the missing data from backups. While inconvenient, this does work as intended.

i nearly did this a week or so ago, when very tired, moving it further away would be a darned good idea, i know there is the second warning , but its still possible to make that mistake if you were tired enough, a lot of us are old and not as aware as we once may have been ...

Been there, done that, got the Meme!

Luckily I am in the habit of saving to CDP often and managed a recovery.

I know it can be recovered. And I save to CDP every time I do something large, and on often regular basis. The issue or point here is to prevent a mistake due to the location of the icon.

Yup, I too have been at that braindead and brain-fart moment when I've stared at a message box and clicked yes anyway, so all the better to be on the safer side. It's not like they don't have the space to do it. It'll be the absolute safeguard even with the extra layers of are you sure messages and confirmation boxes.
