Access to the DLS

I saw the access to the DLS is blocked for the TRS2006 users who do not buy a "Ticket". It's really regretful. I'm a TRS2006 user while some of my features (signs, trains,...) don't work correctly in TRS2009. I tested it with a friend.

I can understand that Auran no longer supports old versions but remove the normal free access that's one step to far for me.

Sorry for the very good game of Trainz, but I think I'm going to look out for another game with trains instead of buying TRS2009 or even TRS2010.

It was a nice time with Auran Trainz but now an other chapter will begin.

Greetz :( .

Do not give up yet, there is more than just the DLS.

That was Auran/"Never"-Fail's move to probably partially get people to buy the newer versions. :n: Nevertheless, my version of Trainz is older than yours, and I do not stop. ;)

There is not really any better a train simulation than Trainz, so I would not give up. Trainz is waay more than just a train simulator. In many ways, it is a world simulator. There are many personal websites by community members that distribute content, such as www.steammachine.com, www.trainzone.co.nz, www.protrainz.com, www.trainzproroutes.org (click the "TPR Download Depot" button on that page), and countless more. (These few are just a few that I could think of right now.) There is bound to be a nearly complete list of fan sites around here somewhere, anyone have any links to such a list, or any other suggestions?

There are more places to get custom content than just the DLS.

Edit: You can get a FCT (First Class Ticket) and get access to the DLS without having to have TS2009 or 2010, and get very fast download speeds (without it, download speeds are as slow as snails. :(). A 3-month FCT is $12.99 Australian Dollars (i.e. just a little over 13 United States Dollars), and that is quite a bit cheaper than TS2009/2010 I believe. You have options, take advantage of them. ;)

Further edit: I would also recommend the Trainz Resources Directory: http://trainzresources.com/directory/. They have a nice big list of community websites, including several that I have been to and downloaded content from.

Regards.

Well let's look at that decision a bit closer, shall we? First of all, you are ready to buy another train sim to replace Trainz? What one will that be, I wonder, and just what improvement will it provide? Why not spend the money on a new version of Trainz that would allow you the same access to the DLS?
