A very quick answer to the DRM thread

Hi guys,

If you were reading the DRM thread, you may be aware that a few reasonable questions were raised amongst all the rabble-rousing. Unfortunately, the thread seems to have got out of hand late last night while N3V were asleep, and the community mods have (rightly) shut it down, but I did want to clarify a few points since it seems that despite a very clear announcement by Tony, there are still some confusion about TANE:

* N3V DRM requires you to go online approximately once a month to maintain an active license. If you fail to maintain an active license, the content will stop working until you next go online to get it refreshed.

* N3V-released payware is DRM-controlled and will remain so.

* DRM does not prevent reskins (this is a complex topic, and there are certain things that you might previously have done while reskinning that are no longer the correct way to approach this task, but the point stands.)

* TANE will be available in DRM (digital download) and non-DRM (boxed copy) versions- much like TS12 is also available in Steam and Simulator Central versions.

* If you are using the non-DRM version of TANE, you may opt to use our DRM payware by activating the DRM system, or you may opt to avoid such. It remains your choice, and you can change your mind at any time.

In short: no news here, nothing to see here, move along :)

chris
