G'Day Dan,

I'm going to suggest that you post this request on the VicTrainz site as there is a member there who does this sort of thing. He occasionally visits this forum but is more frequently found there. Ask for Jerker and it's possible you might get what you want although he has been unwell recently so it could be some time before he can respond.

Cheers
Russell.

Cheers Russell i shall get onto it straight away....

you have much to do with using Transdem??

G'Day Dan
I have never had anything to do with Transdem, any routes I have created have been done without using that process as they are not prototypical.

Really? Transdem is the number one method of getting real world data into Surveyor and IMHO is unsurpassed at what it does.

If you are going to make such a sweeping statement then perhaps you would care to enlighten us as to what *your* system is?

I think you'll find that he meant his routes aren't prototypical, therefore using transdem isn't suitable/necessary for him.

My bad, read it the wrong way.

However there is a case for taking a bit of real world terrain and using it for a fictional route, to save hand crafting the land yourself.

G'Day Nikki,
You are absolutely correct in that my routes are fictional and therefore I don't find it necessary to use Transdem.

...old school modeling...

 Hello Russ, I always never ask anymore if a new route announcement is about a DEM route....

Trainz Surveyor was originally produced as a freelance route building tool. It requires however, a good imagination, that I have not!

My only model railroad, was a plan offered in Railroad Model Craftsman Dec.1970, "Scenery & operation in 5'x8'."

However, for a lot of territories, there are maps that can be made to follow a specific road's operations.

Happy Trainzing!
