A switcher run from Duisburg to Rohdenhaus Kalkwerks.

This is really, really cool. A trip by switcher to drop off and pickup some chalk cars at the lime kilns in Flandersbach (Rohdenhaus Kalkwerks). There's a bit of urban running, some along the docks in Duisburg, then up on to the main line to the branch to the chalk kilns. There's an interesting mix of industry, freights and passenger trains along the way.

This is another operation that could make a someday route. :)

I didn't watch the whole thing, but are those Krauss-Maffei Locomotives? They look vaguely like some southern pacific K-M's I saw in a trainz video.

More than a vague resemblance. SP bought some engines from them and the retired them sometime later.

You might want to watch the complete video. It gets quite interesting... :)

So they did buy some? I had a hard time understanding the post, it was just written in a way that I wouldn't have, so it made it difficult for me to understand. Sorry!

Yup. They bought some. Sorry for writing vaguely I was heading to bed and shouldn't have posted. My brain wasn't connecting to my fingers well at that point!

If you watch the video, you'll see quite a few of them in service. The track work is amazing though with its flyovers and junctions, sidings, and in some places a 4-track mainline, which is very similar to the old Pennsylvania main in many places.
