Here is a memorandum to the Mayor & City Commission from the City Attorney's Office about the agreement with Freightcar America, Inc. for the Purchase of 6 Rail-cars...in other words, the City of Lakeland, Florida got a review on how freight-cars are bought...The City of Lakeland(LAKX) lost 6 Bethlehem Johnstown AutoFlood cars purchased 5-1991 to the CSX in a wreak.
The claim was settled with CSX, that happened to not be in the coal-car buying business...
The contract with CSX caused a fluke that required replacement of the cars to the City's fleet....
