Somebody offered to make me the DEM, so now I can proceed with my personal project using two small routes that I will join together with my DEM. The Loops v2 from the Switchback and North Carolina Transportation Museum by Approach Medium. The total length will be over 100 miles. I won't be able to ever publicly release it though because the NCTM is payware and the Loops v2 free but Switchback strictly forbids releasing any of their content without permission or under your own kuid. 611 ran an excursion on this route from the museum to Asheville 10 years ago. I want to recreate that. NS just completed the rebuild of this line due to washouts from Hurricane Helene and ran a freight train. There is interest in starting Amtrak service from Salisbury to Asheville.
