For the most part its improvements to existing trackage. Intermodal is big business and they know how to capitalize on it! Hopefully this does mean more traffic thru my area of Pennsylvania, but we'll see!!
 
In Wikipedia, it says 28 NEW TRAINS will be made when this is completed. It's gonna go through North Carolina too which is good.
 
this is pretty old news. i dont think that with the current cutbacks that we are going to see any major changes. i have not heard of this since about 2 years ago.
