A lot of noise but no motion

I am using Andi06's LTD Stock DM Loco plus carriages in my subway. Unfortunately while the train works fine in DMC it refuses to move in Cabin Mode.

I release the brakes, put into forward and increase the throttle. The noise rachets up but the train just sits there like a stunned goanna. Any idea what's broken? The KUID is 122285:220:1

Same thing happens to me when I try using a number of the narrow-gauge locos in cab mode - seems they just don't have the necessary configs to work in cab mode. They all seem to work great in DCC mode though.
