Okay this is probably news to me, but I thought I'd pass it along.
There's that replace assets thingy, which works really great for single obejects, textures, but not bridges or double track, supposedly.
I figured out by accident how to change the double-track textures to the new track that I want to use on the layout.
This doesn't change the actual track per se, but it changes it so that it looks like the ther track I've installed. If you were to select the double-track asset from the list, it brings up the Sorry not allowed message box, but... I did this and it worked.
1) Select a single track version of the double-track that you are using.
2) Replace that with the track you want.
Done. That simple.
I also did the same thing on my turntables. I replaced that awful strap track from the ancient Trainz days with a new one for TS2009.
The new track looks so much better than the old stuff, and this is one way to hide or replace the older assets as a route is upgraded to the new standards.
Way cool! I feel like I've solved the health crisis in the US!
