Whichever capture application you use the end result will be a very large file which takes an eternity and then some to upload to youtube if you have only an ADSL connection.
An excellent freeware compression utility is "VirtualDub". A Google search will find it and a tutorial or two on how to get the best results when using it.
i payed for the full version of fraps some years ago and still enjoy this programm.
if not willing to pay you can use the free version(trail) with only two limitations you have to take for granted;
-30 second camerashots(notting prevents one to take several shots after eachother...)
-a little text at the top of your work saying "fraps".this also can be solved by using a video capturing programm like sony vegas movie studeo( free trail at http://www.sonycreativesoftware.com/download/trials/vegaspro ) by selecting the part of the original size you wan't to show.
