A Bunch Of Errors For 1949 Cars?

Suddenly, with the latest update, most of the 1949 cars are now declared as being "in error". My route is set in the 1950 era so this diminishes the sense of realism I sought to create. I am left with a Ford Coupe and a Morris Minor. Cars, set the dimensions of an era. Removing them removes history from Trainz.

Greetings Boleyd. You might want to give details about what "update" to what version. Also, the kuids and maybe the creator of the 1949 cars. Also maybe post the errors to see if anyone thinks they are fixable.

If you are referring to the beta versions, there are script errors with various pieces of rolling stock and other assets such as TRC road crossings. Report the script errors via the type form found in the beta thread.

They were cars with "1949" in the name.
They are gone from the Content Manager so do not know the ID info.
I will have to move to 1950's. Thanks for the response.

I better hit Post before I get into trouble.

I can only see one item on the DLS with 1949 in the title which might fit the description - a 1949 Ford Coupe? It has with a script to swap the skins which are in a dependency <kuid:550048:100365748> 1949 Ford Coupe Skins

I've just downloaded it into Trainz+ build 123794 and it works fine here for what its worth.

@boleyd - So, the errored cars, no kuids or an author name to share then?

I searched the DLS via my Browser, and no vehicle scenery results other than the Ford coupe and a motorcycle.

That is correct. 3 items listed 1949. The other 1949 items, that used to be available, are gone. My problem is the ACTION of arbitrarily deleting assets for no known reason and with no regard to any impact on the customer. I use see this as an example of the terrible practice of deleting "in use" assets. It is the old "let them eat cake" attitude.

Do we know the asset creators Trainz ID?

I'm thinking that the assets may have been pulled due to a illegal usage claim maybe?

Maybe they were sold for scrap..

I moved my imaginary world time up 1 year to 1950. Will see how long they last. A note: I have been adding sidewalks to small towns with parallel to street parking. It is very common here in Western Pennsylvania and elsewhere and requires individual hi-res period (50's) cars. parked parallel to the street. I use Sidewalk1 which has curbing.

Just think how much more fun the program would be if N3V did not just erase assets for their convenience.
