7 inch tablets

Totally Trainz probably not but the 7 inch format seems to be roughly the right size for ebook and with Android Trainz floating around it might be interesting. Using a wi fi connection something like this should work with video calls such as Skype or Google whatever. What's available world wide?

Google Nexus 7 is sort of there but are there any alternatives? Has anyone tried a Nexus 7 yet?
