3rd Party Downloading

Being a bit of a newbie to looking for content on other websites for Trainz, It seems to be a bit hit and miss with some content. One site gives me a whole page of script and downloads to who knows where. Other sites give me the choice to open with content manager when one downloads. What I seem to be ending up with is alot of content in my surveyor menu in red but no show.
Am I doing something wrong ,or is all this faulty stock. No longer supported by Trainz. Or do I have to do something else to activate this content. Tried open for edit and commit. If someone can point me in the right direction much appreciated.

Sean,

Open content manager and look for faulty content using the search filters or content with missing dependancies, for which there is a tab at the top of the right hand pane. The chances are that your 'red' content will appear in either of these two searches. Right click on them and look for view dependancies orview errors and warnings and this will let you know what is missing or broken. Try to track down (no pun intended :hehe: ) the missing dependancies or fix the errors and warnings. Once the content has all elements present in an error free form they will appear in the game
