3D Glasses for Trainz?

Yes they will work

I have the very same set and they work well, but only on the older CRT monitors. They do not work on LCD monitors. I think that they will work on LED monitors and the 3D ready ones.:)

I use an ATi Radeon Graphics card, which lends itself to 3D Anaglyphic displays, a widescreen LCD moniutor and I3ZD Anaglyphic software. I bought some cheap 3D Anaglyphic Glasses from ebay (£3.99 for two) and I get amazing displays for Trainz, Flight Simulator and viewing photos (aftyer converting using a freeware conversion tool).

With anaglyphic 3D, you do lose some colour definition, but there is definitely a greater sense of realism. However, I do find it uncomfortable to play in full 3D for more than about half an hour at a time. Fortunately, with the freeware IZ3D product, a simple press of the * key toggles anaglyphic 3D on or off.

Anyone with an LCD display and Ati Radeon card made after 2007 should be able to run IZ3D with no problems.

I wish someone would make some glasses similar to these 3D glasses, that would take the place of the "[" and "]" keys (or mouse) so that when you're in Cab View, when you turned your head, the view would move with your head. (Does that make sense?)

...is it ready for us though?

 I hear that 3d is loosing popularity because it gives folks a head ache.

NVidia has a 3d package, that requires a 120Hz display.

There is a setup(irTrainz?) that uses a ball cap attachment on your head that allows the in-game camera to respond to your directional view.
