cheers,
patchy

This weekend!!!...the Hotrod Show is on as well!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I normally go to both, got to work Sat & Sun
so i don't know if i can you do both this year,
on the same day, a bit too much effort.
Looks like it's the train show only this year.:(

Patchy i meant to post this last week,
like the old story goes Overworked & Under-payed
Didn't get around to it.

I also have fond memories as a child at the City Hall show.

Back in the good ol' days when Mum(RIP) used to take us into Town, not the City.

Torana:)

HI all,

Just wondering if anyone who made it
has some photos i could look at please,
As i was unable to attend due to work.

:( :( :( :( :( :( :( :( :(

I wait all year, then at the 11th hour,
Bang, Shot down in flames.

"Such Is Life" Edward (Ned) Kelly.

Torana. :)

Sad lack of intrest in a long running annual show.

Did anyone go to the show???,:sleep::sleep:

I find it hard to believe that nobody has any photos :n:
Or are people getting that lazy?

Maybe some comments on how it was this year.

Something please.

Can't tell me out of the whole Trainz community nobody went.

Hi Torana,
I got there sunday and monday and it was not as busy as the past years with the TRAINZ guys not there, but thats only my thoughts as to why.I met you there last year and we went and got drinks for lance and the boys at the end of the show, sorry no photo's from me either.Shane.

G'day Shane,

Good to hear from you, how are you?

I do remember meeting you,
from memory dont you travel down from up North every year?

Anyway, one of the main reasons i went to the show was to get me yearly fix of Trainz.
And of cause the time & effort put into all the Layouts.

That's why Trainz is my favourite Hobby,
I can do whatever my mind allows to me do creatively without the worry of limited space, time or money,
Just turn it on an do what i like, a perfect substitute for the people who don't have the Time, Money, Space Etc.
to build these Brilliant Layouts that we see Every Year.

Hats of to you all. Well done:clap:

So that's very Sad that Auran couldn't put up a stall this Year.
Does this mean they don't have anything to promote to potential new Trainz fans? is there a future for Trainz?

It's not as if they had to travel very far, just goes to show how much a valuable resource Lance Etc. was.
I used to look forward to catching up with Lance & Ian (Vulcan) every Year,
Sadly an end of an Era.

If you read this Lance & Ian, G'day ol' mates, hope you are well.
I am still trying to get to one of your Trainz meetings.(one day)

Cheers,
Torana.:)

While I went to buy a few items, I did not take the camera out of the car, sorry. Yes it was a bit different without an Auran presence. :(

Ian

Lance was there, well at least on Saturday he was as we decided to make a day of it and actually get some time to look at the layouts instead of running the U-drive and the Auran stand like last year. Still didn't look at many layouts though, too busy spending money on large scale stuff. My credit card is still smokin!

Cheers
Tony

Hi Torana,
Your memory is still OK,as I only come down for the show each year to drool, like you don't get the time anymore, lucky to read the forum one a week.
Sorry to have missed Lance and Ian on saturday as would have been good to see them even if was not to do with TRAINZ.
Maybe next year.Shane.

Brisbane Train Show Photos

Hi all,

Apologies for not picking up this thread earlier. I believe my Dad has some photos from the show this year, don't remember which ones. I'll post them as soon as I can get a chance. I'm in the middle of exam block at the moment, so may not happen for a while unfortunately.

Ian
