1950s PRR Mainline [New Route]

might be back?
Here is my new route set in 1950's Eastern Pennsylvania. So far i only have 2 baseboards and they are about three quarters finished. Its slow going but its going to be worth it, for me anyway. The two baseboards are currently set in Reading Pennsylvania but I am saying right now that i am not modeling Reading so that it looks anything like the real city. Im allowing myself full creative liberty so this route is Fictional in all respects though im trying to make it as realistic as possible. Here are the pics

The first pics are of the Jack Rich Oil Depot. The purpose of this facility is to unload Oil tankers into the storage tanks. The oil is then loaded into drums so that they can be shipped via boxcar.

Here we see a PRR RS3 stopped at the depot and loading its boxcars with drums.

Now for a look at the two tracks that serve the purpose of unloading the tank cars for storage.

Having filled its boxcars, the Pennsy train heads East across a crossing to hook back up with the main.

Now we will look at the rest of the area.

Here we see a signal bridge framed by the city.

Next we have a shot looking across the tracks towards downtown.

Here we see two crossings, one off of the Oil branch yard, and the three track main. The Eastbound tracks had converged into one just before the crossing.

A Greyhound Bus decides to run for it and try to beat the train through the crossing. The Closest crossing has yet to be upgraded to the more modern signals.

Here we see the field outside of the oil facility. here we see an abandoned Caterpillar bulldozer rusting in the tall grass.

More shots will be coming as i complete more of the route. I plan on making an industrial area on the Oil facility side of the main.

God, those screenshot, especially the first two, they are so Railroad Tycoon! I love it! Where did that track come from, if I may ask?

its the low poly STD track from USLW.net There is also a high poly version. BTW i love Railroad Tycoon 3 also. And yeah i kinda see the influence now. I think that i will count that as a success.
