1940s Subway

Starting a subway system for a fictional American city set in the 1940s. What subway cars would have been reasonable for such a time period? Any KUIDs anyone would reccomend?

For the 40's, my NYCTA Lo-V cars or R12's (along with the R1's that aren't on the download station) would all be age-appropriate.

Thanks, Magic

Thanks, the R12 is beautiful, exactly what I need. BTW, did you see people getting "road rash" off the cement walls of the tunnel? (Driver and some right side passengers hang outside the car!) Also, the interior looks great from the outside, but is there any way to "ride along" in the passenger area?

Thx,
Michael

fuzzybear63, Are you modeling your 1940s subway before or after WWII? If before WWII, don't use R10 and later subway cars. If after WWII, don't use R15 and later subway cars.

Whether or not passengers ride outside the car will depend on what passengers get loaded into what spots. Unfortunately, the person who created the passengers for Auran didn't take into account that they should take up a fixed amount of space, so some take up much more room than others, and some lean back more than others. Most of the time they should be OK.

Try cycling through the cabviews ("[" and "]" keys) when in cab mode, there should be some interior viewpoints. I've got them in most of my cars, so I'd be surprised if they weren't in the R12's. Not amazed, but surprised...
