15th Anniversary Discount

So even through I have TS12 anniversary do I need a standard version of TS12 on my time line ????????

Nope - congratulations NSWGR_46Class - you are one of 17 people to have completed the 15th Anniversary Collection :D

Forum icons will be issued Dec 22 with the cut-off Dec 19/20.

WOW OH WOW almost as good as having a golden ticket -- 15 years -- been a love hate relationship at times, but still one hell of a good ride

Well, I'm only two short of the collection but it will be nice to have the full set. I still have all the CD/DVD boxes and the paperback manuals. The only version that doesn't work on my PC is TS06 and I got a little lost with TS09 with all the patches the last time I tried to reinstall it.

I still consider myself as a latecomer to Trainz.

The installer for V1 is a bit smaller than TANE. :hehe:

Did I get this right, if I use my 20USD discount to buy TMR17 before 19DEC I get an additional 15USD coupon good for 1 year?

Plus the DLC bundle for TANE sp2 when it's released?

@Paul, I have TRS04 and 06 installed and working in Win10. I rarely use TS10 but it's installed. TS12 is still the workhorse. 1.1, UTC, TC1&2,3 &TS09 are stored on dvd's (cd's for the early ones), originals and backups. With several retail, beta and dev versions of Tane installed I had to draw the line some place.

I was trying to test stuff for the CRG in TS06 until we discovered that the TB minimum (3.5) applied to the CRG as well - long story!. TS06 was very flakey for me in Win10 and constantly crashed although another member had no problems. Perhaps it was some of the other weird (programming) stuff I have installed. TS04 works ok. TC1, 2 and 3 remain on the shelf.

TS10 is OK (installed) but TS12 and TANE are the only versions I use every day. Actually, I'd like to drop TS12 but I need it for CRG purposes.

I have a 2TB HDD that that hosts all my Trainz stuff including development. Bags of space left over and, yes, it all gets backed up to my (local) cloud. :)

For those who were late to join the party, this is a great way to see firsthand what the early adopters were using. It is also a nice visual reminder of just how far Trainz has come since those halcyon days when having anything graphical on the screen was wow

Interesting that my original Trainz box included gmax on the disk. Do people who get it now also get that as an extra? It also included a free model Railroader magazine offer inside the box. My but things have changed over the years.

I still got my original in the box -- how time flies! LOL :mop:

Yes you are correct. And for further clarity:

Discount of $2 per registered version showing in your MyTrainz account -> applies to TMR17 before March 06, 2017

If you collect and register all 11 items in the "list" prior to Dec 19 (Dec 20 AEST since we are ahead of the world in time) then you qualify for the 15th Anniversary Collection bonus of $15 to use on the store in the next 12 months + the forum icon.

If you purchase TMR17 now, you also get the TMR content set as a TANE SP2 DLC pack when SP2 is released.

Great collection there. I see a 10th Anniversary Edition - perhaps you need to grab one of the last 50 or so Tane Collectors Editions before they're all gone :)

Wow, this is bringing back memories. The first (and only) time I ever custom built a gaming rig was to handle TRS2004.

It was torture all those years ago to have to wait for physical products to be shipped from down under. Thank goodness for digital downloads.

Regards,
Ian

I'll have to think about it, as I already have TANE (I got mine through the Kickstarter), and I don't really need a second copy... but I suppose I am a Trainz collector...

I have just about all the versions and my reward is $2? This is a bit odd. I had paintshed too.. Oh that was fun.

I've checked and your account (dougtrain) was issued $16. Perhaps you are looking in the wrong account.

Out of curiosity, I have all versions of Trainz except for 2009 and TMR2017, but I've lost the codes. I do, on the other hand, still have the discs. Is there any way to get these registered? If not, it's no big deal, but it would be nice to finally see all the versions I have. :p

Can I ask you a question? What routes does that come with? As I been seeing it once a while and they don't say what the disk contains.

It looks like only locomotives are included - there are no routes.

Okay thank you for both replying quickly and telling what actually came on disk. I though it was routes for both regions as like I said before there was nothing describing what came with the disk.
