06 Routes to TS10 Routes

Hey guys. I'm getting a new computer and trainz10 next week but for now I'm running 06. If I start a route in 06, can I finish building it with Trainz10? Thanks

You sure can.

Install TS2010 fresh.

Choose import content, and point that to your (browse for the) TRS2006 user data folder/local, and let it rip. If there is any messages about overwriting content, choose skip.

Put your TRS2006 serial number into TS2010, along with your TS2010, and you'll be able to use the imported content.

Shouldn't be a problem. Only the same as extending a finished article.

Unfortunately, adding serial numbers from versions earlier than TS2009 into TS2009/2010/12 is not possible - anyway, the majority of TRS2006 built-in content is in TS2010 anyway.

Ok thanks guys!! I'll be putting Trainz10 on a different computer. Hoping to just save the route to a cdp, send it to myself via e-mail, and open it on my new pc with Trainz10.
@shaneturner12, will I be getting a new serial number for trainz10?
