I NEED HELP! How do you save unzipped files with GIMP?

I am trying to change the smoke & light settings to the color red on a steam engine. I need help with this, please! I can post pics of the locomotive if needed.

I have tried re-skinning several steam locomotives in Trainz & every time I try to commit a re-skin it say, "failed to commit". Why won't it let me re-skin?

Anyone know where you can get a auxiliary water tender / car for Trainz?
