    Is Trainz only for supercomputers?

Oh dear! Seems I must just abandon Trainz. Pity. The older versions used to run fine. Bye.

    Is Trainz only for supercomputers?

I gave up on trs22, which was OK up to a point, but then suddenly developed so many faults that it was unworkable, and I changed back to trs19. Since then, I've been working on one new route. From the near the beginning, I've had the same 15 trains and drivers and it was alll going well as I...

    Stuck Train

No driver messages. He just stops, loads and stays there. True: there is a long stretch of rail before the next station and there are a number of points (switches) to negotiate, but I have everything covered with track marks, and I can't see what the problem could be.

    Stuck Train

I have recently abandoned trs22 as beyond the capacity of my Mac and returned to trs19. My new route is functioning well, but I took a look at one of my old routes. Everything looks fine, but trains keep sticking at one particular station. I have tried placing track markers, but they don't work...

    The end of Trainz

Well, I've been back with trs19 for over a week now and am glad I've switched back (so far, at least). I miss the Scrapbook and to some extent the Layers, although I never did have problems with having water at different heights (the stretches of water must not touch, but I separate them with...

    Water layer

I love the effect layers in trs22, but the water layer in trs19 appears to be totally unmanageable. In theory, I have no water layer in my current route, but in practice, when I smooth a road, an unwanted water layer appears even though we are above sea level. Sometimes, going to Environment...

    The end of Trainz

Thank you. I will give it a try.

    The end of Trainz

Well, I was just getting used to creating a new route in trs19 again. Miss the variable brush size, but at least smoothing really does create a smooth gradient, rather than just making bumps less obvious and ignoring any big bumps as when two adjacent boards are different heights. Anyway, I will...

    The end of Trainz

I don't need to reinstall trs19 - it's always been there! However, I like the idea of attempting to transfer my 22 route over, but I have found before that transferring in Mac is not all that simple: ie so far, I've never managed to do it. To start with, I'm not sure what you mean by "config...

    The end of Trainz

I turned everything down to "low", restarted and took the 'revert changes' option. I had to add something to stop it saving as a Session, and as soon as I did, I lost all control and had to force quit again. Think it's time to go back to tried and trusted trs19.

    The end of Trainz

I use the CTRL database rebuild every time I download anything. Since I can't open my current route, I feel I'm stuck. I'm not sure how to change the grid setting.

    Trackside Cameras

Thanks. I would have tried that immediately, but if you see the thread I began this morning, I am now permanently shut out of the route I've been developing over the last couple of months.

    The end of Trainz

Since I "ungraded" to Mac build 123844, the game has frequently crashed during route building to the extent that I have had to force quit. This time, however, there seems to be no escape. The route I have been working on, which is nowhere near as big as the usual routes I have built in earlier...

    Trackside Cameras

Maybe that's what it is. I haven't used the old Surveyor for a while, and like I said, I only use trackside cameras when my route is finished. As I am sure you know, a route never really finished, which is why as I near the end, I felt it was time to add some cameras. Seems the improvements...

    Trackside Cameras

What happened to trackside cameras? I can't say they were an essential part of my Trainz life, because I never thought about them until my route was finished, and the thing about Trainz is that a route can never be "finished", but in the past, when it was all working and looked quite pretty in...
